Despite having lived in Southern California for the majority of my life, despite having gone to Knott’s Berry Farm dozens of times, I had not managed to eat at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant until now.
I haven’t seen Greg in over 20 years. We didn’t even stay in touch during that time, but after catching up via Instagram very recently, we decided to hang out since he was back in town.
We agreed to give Mrs. Knott’s a try. The verdict: the fried chicken isn’t all that great. I’ve heard from numerous friends that it’s better before noon. Alas, I went AFTER noon. I mean, it’s good chicken, just not as swoon-worthy as others had made it seem.
The chicken pot pie though… now that is a winner-winner-chicken-dinner! The chicken was juicy, the crust was crispy, and the extra gravy on the side just hit it over the fence. Despite how small that sucker looked, it’s packed and more than enough of a meal for one person.
Would I go back again? Sure. The pot pie alone is worth it and there are still plenty of things on the menu I can try out.
After nearly stuffing ourselves into a food coma we decided to go for an impromptu photo session around the Knott’s Berry Farm area.
I didn’t bring any lighting, so available light shooting it was! Unfortunately, the sun was almost directly overhead, and it’s not my favorite light to shoot in. We made it work though.
Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon everyday. It will always be helpful to read articles from other writers and use something from other sites.
I was very happy to discover this great site. I need to to thank you for your time for this particularly wonderful read!! I definitely liked every part of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new information on your blog.
