Happy Independence Day America!!!
Our country isn’t perfect – it has never been – but I think most of us usually strive to make it a better place. We’ve come a long way from the days of our founding fathers. We’ve ended slavery and segregation. Women now have the right to vote. Interethnic and same-sex partners can now marry. Our country has seen civil war and yet we came out stronger.
Many of us are immigrants to this land or our forefathers were. They came from all across the globe, whether it be from Asia and Africa or South America and Europe, but this is a home we all now share. We are bound to disagree. We are bound to take missteps in our journey towards a more perfect union. Don’t get me wrong, I know there is still work to be done. There are still injustices that need to be corrected, however, I still hope we can take today to celebrate the progress that we have made as a nation.
Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon everyday. It will always be helpful to read articles from other writers and use something from other sites.
