I got my wisdom teeth removed today. I’ve been wanting them gone for some time and I think my dentist, Dr. Kirk Larson (who I totally recommend!), wanted them gone even more. They didn’t really bother me much, except that I thought they were pushing my other teeth around a little too much, negating all those years I wore braces for.
Check out this x-ray taken today. My lower wisdom teeth were pretty much lying sideways!
I really didn’t want to be awake for the procedure so I opted for the general anesthesia and couldn’t resist taking a selfie.
I was out for what felt like a second and woke up looking like a walrus. The whole thing took less than half an hour and, frankly, I felt better than I look. I even got to keep the teeth that were pulled. Gross for you, pretty cool for me. 🙂
All in all, it was a good experience, but that might be the hydrocodone talking.
